Tangent Gallery's Garden Groove Series Continues

Tangent's series of Summer Saturday events continues this weekend, presented by Third Planet. DJ SENCLAIR will be hosting, with additional sets from TYLR, Mr. Drew, Dust Bunny, and more. Doors are open from noon to midnight, with a $5 cover after 7, but those who make it from noon to 3 can take advantage of happy hour, as well as a brunch hosted by Tangent.

Detroit's Concert of Colors Goes Remote

After 28 years of music and culture, the Detroit Concert of Colors will be moving to a broadcast-only format in order to carry on despite the ongoing quarantine. After being recorded at the Detroit Film Theatre, the performances will be broadcast on Detroit Public TV-WTVS and WDET from October 7th to the 10th.

Join Golf Clap This Weekend for Some Outdoor Shows

As the quarantine starts to loosen up a little, venues chomp at the bit to reopen their doors, and I'm sure most of us are eager to walk through them again. This Friday and Saturday, Tangent Gallery and the Aretha Lake Lounge, along with Golf Clap, will be hosting a pair of mask-mandatory outdoor shows, and putting a portion of their profits towards Detroit Heals Detroit. Capacity, and therefore tickets, will be limited, so don't miss the chance to grab yours.

International Jazz Day Moves Online

Previously scheduled to be hosted in Cape Town, South Africa in March, the International Jazz fest will be available across the world as it moves online. The event will continue to be hosted by Herbie Hancock and will include streamed performances from artists all over the planet.
